Operations Manager - Gerhardt Theron
Lephalale, formerly known as Ellisras, is a coal mining town in Limpopo Province, and the Bolt and Engineering Distributors (B.E.D.) Group’s branch here is located in the centre of town, having been established in 2010.
The branch is staffed by an efficient, core group of dedicated and loyal members who are driving the branch to achieve growth and success in all sectors.
The Lephalale branch is headed up by Operations Manager Gerhardt Theron, who has been with B.E.D. for five years in total, having been in his current role for the past two.
The branch services mainly the local industrial and agricultural sectors, which service Eskom projects, coal mines, and contractors in and around the area.
The Lephalale branch prides itself on its ability to always go the extra mile for its clients, and supplies a huge range of products and services, including fasteners, bolts, nuts, screws and anchors, welding equipment and consumables, grinding equipment and consumables, drilling equipment and consumables, clothing, gloves, shoes, paint, power tools, lifting equipment and oils.
As a manager, Gerhardt bases his success on the rapport that he has with his team, encouraging them to give 100 percent effort in all that they do – while also running independently and confidently, building relationships with their clients and taking ownership of what they do.
In this way, he says, the individual team members will protect and grow the business as if it were their own.
